My name is Robert. I am an independent iOS app developer who has released several apps to the app store over the years and plan to release many more in the future.
Ever since I was in 5th grade and had my first iPod Touch, I've always wanted to become an app developer. I would constantly think of cool app ideas, but I just couldn't catch on to programming at the time. Back then (2009), you had to use a programming language known as Objective-C to develop iOS apps. It was kind of confusing and not a good first programming language to learn. I tried time and time again years later, but I still couldn't catch on. Much later, Apple released another programming language that was easier to learn and was similar to other languages I've seen before. It was called "Swift." In 12th grade, I gave app development one last chance. I was about to give up. But this time, something clicked. I'll never forget the day: February 18th, 2017. I finally caught onto programming and ran with it for eight hours straight until I made a decent amount of progress with my first app. I was ecstatic and couldn't wait to keep adding more to my app in the coming days and weeks and eventually release it on the app store. My goal was to release my first app before I graduated from high school. I went from not knowing how to program at all to three months later having my first app on the app store. Then, I went on to release more and more apps. None of them were a major success until my 6th app, "Time to Money." It ended up on the top charts over night, even though tons of people would put it down and tell me it wasn't going to go anywhere. Never give up. It might take 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or more tries, but if you never give up until you find success, you will eventually find it. The second you give up is the second you have failed. Until then, you're still on your way to the life of your dreams!
My next dream is to achieve financial freedom, buy a condo in Bermuda overlooking the ocean, and re-program my old apps as well as create new ones without anything holding me back.
